Disney Pixar Cars - Distribution is All Greek to Me

Alternator Valley has readers in Greece, and I believe a total of 80 countries around the world. We have all been frustrated and baffled by Mattel's poor distribution of the Cars die cast toy line. Today, I had to laugh when my friend Ivette told me she bought a Leakless Launcher that was packaged in GREEK!! What was funnier was where she bought it. She didn't buy it in Greece. She didn't find it in Italy, Bulgaria, or Turkey. She found it at a Walmart in Austin, Texas!! How funny is that?! So, I had her take some pictures so you could all take a look and get a good laugh! Take a look at these...

I wonder if the translation is the same or different

The back is full of Greek and other languages

You can't read the bottom too well

I haven't heard of any other Cars being found in the United States in other languages. Have you found anything funny like this? Let us know! Oh, and please pass the Grape Leaves.

Subscribe to Alternator Valley and you'll always know what's going on!

I found a Nitroade Launcher in the International packaging at a ToysRUs in Indianapolis in December. I didn't have the funds to purchase it. I have started collecting some of the International WOC singles that 2 friends in the UK have used to purchase Faux Wheel Drive promo Cars. I also have 3 International Movie Moments that I purchased from friends in Canada.

hi iam from Greece. this is amazing`. possibly an error from the mattels side.
the translation they give to the car in Greek is
άφθαρτος : amaranthine - imperishable - incorruptible - indestructible - undecaying

Yes, in San Antonio I found Spanish nameplate singles. I Assume these were returns from Mexico visitors to the US at Walmart.

It is always fun to see how things are translated. Thanks for the translation from Greece!

San Antone, that makes sense and I bet it has happened more than once.
